On Friday, December 2, 2016, on the occasion of the International Day of Disabled People, the Association 'PERPATO' at the invitation of the 2nd High School of Xanthi, organized "Paralympic day at school" with 6 Paralympic sports demonstration stations. The activities took place in the school's courtyard, in its indoor gym and in a class room, where two athletes with motor impairment, one of whom is a Paralympian, talked to the children about Paralympic Sport, The Disability Movement and answered the students ' questions.
The Paralympic sports stations were:
• Boccia
* Volleyball sitting athletes
• Badminton
* Wheelchair basketball
* Athletics for the visually impaired (road events)
* Track for the visually impaired
The 110 students of the third grade of the 2nd High School of Xanthi passed through all the stations. Most of them first came into contact with Paralympic sports. The purpose of this action was to entertain, inform and raise awareness among students.
